Mothering

I don't really want to write a post about mothering. I know it's Mother's Day, but I don't want to list off things I love about being a mom, quotes about mothering, or some type of "what a mom's salary would be" calculator. Why? Because I think being a mom is so much more than anyone (even a mom) could ever write about.

It can't be summed up in a certain number of cute statements; it can't be evaluated by a list of "what we do all day." No one can ever understand everything a mom goes through, until they have become one. The sacrifice, patience, and servant-heart that is required is unfathomable.

I.had.no.idea.

I can say now, though, with COMPLETE honesty that I would not give up my stay-at-home, homeschooling mom status for any salary, position, or free time!! Sure, I love a girls' night out or a few hours to myself as much as the next mom...but I have learned that even those moments of "peace and quiet" are really just that: moments! And in the grand scheme of things, the moments I will hang onto forever, the moments that really mean something in the end? Well, those are the moments that happen when I am home...mothering...and thinking of everyone but myself.

If you need encouragement in finding joy in mothering, read this.
It is awesome :)

Oh and HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!
