Come quickly, Lord! Come quickly... Designer Babies, Designer God

1. People ask how far along you are, and your answer is, "Ummmmm, somewhere in the early-20 weeks," (and then you walk away questioning if that is even accurate.) 2. You weigh yourself, and by the time you turn around and are distracted by your 3 other little ones needing things, you start doing the math in your head to see how much weight you have gained, and you have already forgotten what the scale said. 3. You feel a thump on your stomach, and you look down to see who is needing something. 4. You sit down at the computer to enjoy some quiet time during your kids' nap and room time, and you realize how amazingly hungry you are. Then, you realize maybe that's because you haven't had a single thing to eat since breakfast...and it's pushing 1:30 pm. 5. After realizing how hungry you are, you also realize how tired you are and how fixing a real lunch is NOT appealing at the moment...so you grab anything and everything you can find that does not require any asse

I am currently sitting in a hotel in Grapevine, TX with my 3 little boys me, my husband, and I!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's right. We are ALONE!! The room I am sitting in at the moment is silent! I can actually hear the cars passing by outside, and I can sit and think (about NOTHING if I want to! haha) My parents bought us a 2-night stay at this hotel as a graduation present, and we are SO thankful. It is the first time post-children we have ever been away as a couple without the kids. Of course, we already miss our boys, but thank You, Jesus, for giving us this time to rest, with no worries for the rest of our days a couple of days anyway :) Congratulations to my amazing husband for making it through 3 years of Chiropractic school, for graduating TOP of his class, and for still managing to be a loving, present Dad and husband throughout all of it. You are the world's greatest. Of that, I am sure :)

After explaining to the boys that "dyeing Easter eggs" meant we were going to make the white eggs change colors, Justus looked at the pot of boiling eggs soaking in the ingredients and said, "Mom, you're right! The eggs are dead now!" The natural dyeing agents didn't perform as well as I had hoped (or I guess I didn't really expect much, so it kind of went as planned!) The fun began when Uncle Jack came over and we got out the good ol' chemicals :) Getting ready The baby is in bed...Let the dyeing begin :) Our finished products We let 4 sit overnight in the dye Let's eat!!

What we used, and what it represented: 1 - Blue ball : God created the earth and sin entered. We needed a Savior. 2 - Baby Jesus (from our Christmas nativity scene) : God sent His Son, Jesus, to be our Savior. 3 - Goldfish : Jesus was a fisher of men, fishing for faithful followers. 4 - Band-aid : We needed Jesus to heal our wounds. 5 - Small robe (off of our friend, Yoda, from Star Wars :) ) : The soldiers didn't believe the truth and gave Jesus a robe to wear, mocking Him for saying He was a king. 6 - Nails : Jesus was nailed to the cross 7 - Coins : The soldiers cast lots for Jesus' clothing 8 - Cross : Jesus died, so that we would forever be forgiven. It was "finished." 9 - Rock : Jesus was buried in the tomb, and a giant rock was rolled in front. He could not escape. 10 - Empty Egg : 3 days later, they came back to find that the tomb was empty! 11 - Cotton Ball : Jesus returned to Heaven on a cloud, and He will one day return to earth on a cloud. 12 - Blue ball
